Fault -  Unit at High Temperature

Possible Cause

Blocked Condensor. Action - Clean the condensor once a month or as often as required. Blocked condensors are a major cause of equipment failure and render warranties invalid. NOTE: Cleaning a condensor is very easy and takes just a few minutes - if you are unsure how to clean condensors, see our guide - ‘Condensor Cleaning’.NOT under Warranty.
 
Ice build up Defrost unit. Action - Switch off overnight, prop open door during defrost. NOT Under Warranty.
 
P-1 or P-2 on controller. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend - Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Door fan switch damaged. Action - Replace / repair switch. Avoid impact to switches, particularly when loading. NOT Under Warranty
 
Controller fault. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Thermostat fault. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Gas shortage or leak. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Fan failure. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Overstocked. Action - Reduce stock. Allow space above & between products to allow airflow. Do not place stock in front of internal fans. If overstocked, defrost overnight. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Unit at high temperature. Action -  Air intake grills obstructed. Remove obstruction. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Inadequate Ventilation. Action - Check back of unit & ensure minimum gap of 80mm between unit and wall. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Controller settings altered. Action - Reset to factory settings & contact Fridgeland for guidance. NOT Under Warranty
 
Ambient conditions exceeded. Action - Check ambient temperature & if above 25 Deg C refer to Fridgeland for guidance. NOT Under Warranty
 
Sunlight. Action - Refrigerated units must not be placed in direct sunlight - relocate unit. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Doors left open for long period. Acton - Close doors and allow unit to return to temperature - check for ice build up. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Unit used to chill warm/hot product. Action - Remove hot products. Use unit for pre-chilled / pre-frozen product only. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Draughts. Action - Refrigerated units must not be placed in direct draughts (check open doors / windows / air-conditioning) - relocate unit. NOT Under Warranty.
 
 
UNIT COMPLETELY DEAD 
 
Overloaded electrical circuit. Action - Upgrade circuit and/or remove electrical items. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Fuse blown. Action - Replace fuse. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Compressor failure. Action - Replace compressor. Under Warranty.
 
Controller failure. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Electrical Circuit Fault. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Unit not plugged in. Action - Plug in to mains supply. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Insufficient power supply. Action - Contact Fridgeland for guidance. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Plug or power lead damaged. Action - Contact Fridgeland for guidance. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Leaking water. Action - Unit not level level, move to flat surface area. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Drain blocked with food spill. Action - Clean drain. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Condensate heater failure. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Float switch failure. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Unit excessively loud. Action - Loose fixing nut Check and tighten. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Unit not leveled. Action - Level unit or floor surface/move unit to flat surface area. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Fan motor catching guard. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Compressor fixing. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
 
Light not working. Light switch turned to off. Turn on light switch. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Tube / bulb needs replacing. Replace tube / bulb. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Ballast / starter needs replacing. Action - Replace ballast / starter. NOT Under Warranty.
 
Internal electrical fault. Action - Fridgeland engineers to attend. Complete service request. Under Warranty.
